BRHS Spring Show 2014

The Burton & Rossett Horticultural Society's annual June plant sale and flower show was held on Saturday 14th June in the Rossett Village Hall. It was supported by Rossett WI who provided wonderful homemade cream teas.

Carolyn Bates won the trophy for the most points in the Show, and Frank Evans won the Society Cup for the best rose. Here are some pictures from the Show:

The number of exhibits and exhibitors were up this year and it was very pleasing to see such a large number of entries from children. I hope their success encourages them to enter the Junior Section of our Horticultural Show, which will be held on 23rd August 2014, in conjunction with the Rossett Village Festival. In addition to the horticultural classes, there are classes for Cookery, Craft, Floral Art, as well as the Junior section.
