Spring Show 2019
/The BRHS Spring show took place on Saturday June 8th at St. Peter's School Rossett from 2-4pm.
The event was opened by the School Choir with a wonderful variety of songs including from The Lion King, Gary Barlow and a couple of pieces sung in Welsh. Thank you to Mrs Pritchard, staff and pupils for their enthusiasm.
We had a wonderful array of plants donated by our members for sale and also supplied from a local nursery. These were all very good value and everyone went home with bags full of very healthy plants.
The entries for our Spring Show were well received, and all of a high standard.
There was a lovely, colourful display of Roses, and other flowers in the classes. The exhibits were judged by Mr and Mrs Coleclough and the Frank Neal Memorial Trophy for most points was awarded to Rita Critchley. The Society Cup was won by Carolyn Bates for her Specimen Rose. The Best child exhibit 7yrs and under was awarded to Emmie Maurice-Jones for her creative garden in a seed tray. The Best child exhibit 8yrs to 12yrs was awarded to Grace Rendell for her wonderful collage of a farm animal. Well done Emmie and Grace and we hope to see you again at our 70th Annual Show on 24th August 2019.
A big Thank you to Rossett WI who did a sterling job supplying the cream teas, a much needed refreshments for the afternoon.
Thank you to all for supporting this show and to all the members and helpers to stage the event. As usual we could not hold these events without this support.
