February Talk
/On the 21st February we had a very interesting talk on ‘Spring and Summer Colour’ from Jenny Hendy, who is a garden designer, author of several books, broadcaster and teacher.
She talked to us about the importance of keeping the colour in our gardens going between seasons, and how we didn’t have to wait until summer to achieve attractive effects.
She demonstrated how this could be done by planting up two containers, selecting some unusual plants, and considering contrasts of colour and texture. One member of the audience was lucky enough to win one of these pots which was donated by Jenny as a raffle prize!
This was a very entertaining and instructive talk which provided us all with inspiration and some new ideas for brightening up our gardens in this difficult in between season.
